Finnish culture club for kids in Portland Oregon
Portland Finnish School, also known as Portlandin Suomi Koulu, is a community run culture and language club that meets every other Saturday for children with Finnish heritage.
From Toddler to Teen
Kids of all ages (0-18) are welcome to enroll.
Classes are split into language learners and language speakers, as well as a play group for our youngest Finns.
Parental Involvement
Parents and guardians are encouraged to participate.
Share a cup of coffee and sing in Finnish with the kids. Volunteers help run school programs such as the library.

"
Poikani oli Suomi-Koulun ensimmäisen vuoden oppilas (yli 40 vuotta sitten). Ihanaa, että lapsenlapseni voi osallistua nyt. Mukava seurata lasten ja vanhempien kokoontumista yhteen lauantaiaamuisin. Hauskaa on!"
My son was a student in the first year of Suomi-Koulu (more than 40 years ago). It's wonderful that my grandchild can participate now. Nice to watch children and parents gather together on Saturday mornings. It's fun!”
